What is the best colour for a kitchen?
Probably the most subjective question you could ask. There are too many questions to ask first in order to answer this question. Here’s a list of questions you’d need to ask first in order to come to some kind of conclusion.
What fits with your existing home decor?
The kitchen is the heart of the home, it’s probably OK to say that a bright red gloss kitchen is going to look a little out of place in a quaint cottage so first rule is find something that suits your property
What do you like?
Have a look at some images and visit some showrooms to get a feel of what you are drawn too, this is obviously important but remember that your personal favourite colours might not work as a kitchen door, you can bring them in to the room in other ways.
What’s on trend?
Not on everyone’s priority list but you might want to consider what is in current trend.
Consider this: Lighting & Accessories
Also consider this: What’s the long term plan?
If you’re planning on selling your property in the short to medium term then you really should consider going for something neutral that appeals to a broad audience, keep it simple and maximise the feeling of space with lighter colours.
What is the most popular choice of colour for kitchens?
In this order: White, grey and ivory!
Having said all this – to be completely honest, I am absolutely fed up of seeing white, grey and cream kitchens, we can supply kitchens painted to any RAL colour so, if you want any other colour outside those three, get in touch as we would love to undertake the project and we would offer upto £3,000 cashback if we can use the kitchen as a case-study!
